Terms & Conditions
Dance Envy – Parent/Carer Terms & Conditions
By registering your child for classes with Dance Envy, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Registration and bookings
All children attending Dance Envy classes must be registered by a parent or legal guardian.
Parents/carers are responsible for ensuring that all information provided during registration is accurate and up to date, including contact details, emergency contact information, medical conditions, allergies and any additional needs that Dance Envy should be aware of.
Places in classes are subject to availability and are only confirmed once the relevant booking and payment requirements have been completed.
2. Class fees and payment
Class fees must be paid in accordance with the payment terms provided at the time of booking.
Where classes are booked as a term, payment secures the child's place for that term. Failure to make payment when due may result in the child's place being released.
Fees for additional activities such as workshops, camps, shows, examinations, competitions or costumes may be charged separately and will be communicated to parents/carers in advance.
3. Trial classes
Where available, new dancers may book a trial before committing to the remainder of the term.
Completion of a trial does not automatically guarantee an ongoing place in the class. Places remain subject to availability and the appropriate booking and payment being completed.
4. Missed classes, cancellations and refunds
Fees are generally non-refundable where a dancer is unable to attend a scheduled class.
If Dance Envy has to cancel a class, reasonable efforts will be made to notify parents/carers as soon as possible and, where appropriate, an alternative arrangement, credit or refund may be offered.
Dance Envy cannot guarantee refunds for circumstances outside its reasonable control, including unexpected venue closures or other events that prevent a class from taking place.
5. Timetable and class changes
Dance Envy reserves the right to make reasonable changes to class times, teachers, venues or timetables where necessary.
Parents/carers will be notified of significant changes wherever reasonably possible.
6. Health, medical conditions and additional needs
Parents/carers must inform Dance Envy of any medical condition, allergy, injury, disability or additional need that may affect their child's participation in a class.
Any relevant changes should be communicated to Dance Envy as soon as possible.
Parents/carers should not send a child to class where they are unwell or where participation may pose a risk to the child or others.
7. Injuries and emergencies
Dance Envy will take reasonable steps to provide a safe environment for dancers.
In the event of an accident or emergency, appropriate first aid may be provided and the parent/carer or emergency contact will be contacted where necessary.
Where urgent medical attention is required and a parent/carer cannot immediately be reached, Dance Envy will act in the best interests of the child and contact the appropriate emergency services.
8. Safeguarding
Dance Envy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people attending its classes and activities.
Dance Envy has a separate Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy which parents/carers are encouraged to read. The existing policy applies to paid staff, volunteers, students and anyone working on behalf of the dance school.
Any safeguarding concerns should be raised with Dance Envy's Designated Safeguarding Lead.
9. Behaviour and conduct
Dance Envy aims to provide a positive, inclusive and respectful environment.
Dancers are expected to behave appropriately towards teachers, staff, volunteers, other dancers and the venues used by Dance Envy.
Dance Envy reserves the right to discuss behavioural concerns with parents/carers and, in serious or persistent cases, may ask a dancer to leave a class or activity.
10. Drop-off and collection
Parents/carers are responsible for ensuring children arrive safely and on time for their class and are collected promptly at the end of the session.
Parents/carers should inform Dance Envy of any relevant collection arrangements or changes.
Children should not be left unattended at a venue outside their scheduled class time unless arrangements have been agreed with Dance Envy.
11. Photography and video
Dance Envy may photograph or film classes, performances, shows and other activities.
Photography and video involving individual children will be used in accordance with the permissions provided by their parent/carer during registration.
Parents/carers may update or withdraw their consent by contacting Dance Envy.
12. Shows, competitions, examinations and other activities
Dance Envy may offer dancers opportunities to participate in performances, competitions, examinations, workshops, camps and other events.
Participation may be subject to additional fees, rehearsals, costumes, travel or other requirements. Full details will be provided to parents/carers where applicable.
13. Personal belongings
Dancers are responsible for their own clothing, footwear and personal belongings while attending Dance Envy activities.
Parents/carers are encouraged to clearly label belongings. Dance Envy cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.
14. Data protection and privacy
Personal information provided to Dance Envy will be handled in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable data protection requirements.
Parents/carers are responsible for informing Dance Envy of changes to their personal information.
15. Communication
Important information regarding classes, payments, timetable changes and other Dance Envy activities may be communicated to parents/carers using the contact information supplied during registration.
Parents/carers are responsible for ensuring their contact details remain current.
16. Changes to these Terms & Conditions
Dance Envy may update these Terms & Conditions where reasonably necessary. Parents/carers will be informed of any significant changes.
17. Agreement
By registering or booking a child into a Dance Envy class or activity, the parent/carer confirms that they have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions and that the information they have provided is accurate to the best of their knowledge.
